Did some #pickstr time while watching firefly tonight. Pretty pleased.

Warmed up with my master 150 and 570 and my abus 55/40.

Then I went for my baby American 1100s. I have 8 of them that I removed pin stacks 2 and 4 from so my n00b ass has a chance. Previously I had only ever picked 4 of the 8. Tonight I got 7 of the 8 of them. High cut 5s with low cut 1 on a lot of them, tough to get that 5th pin. I think a thinner pick might be helpful with that keyway.

I usually use a .015 Peterson hook for those. It fits right up the middle of the warding. Gotta polish it up like a mirror to make it slippery, though.

I have the new covert instruments evo 4 picks on the way. They are .020 and include the mctickler, really looking forward to giving that a try. I'm using a .025 short hook now.
