How is BlueSky currently dealing with moderation of illegal content? What does the AT protocol allow BlueSky to do when it comes to removing posts, deleting profiles, ...?

Nostr is wild and free, and I can foresee issues for relayer coming soon. But this is Nostr's unique strength too, and it is worth every risk.

In my (not so positive) experience, relying on VC money amplifies risk perception and leads to very conservative moderation policies.

How much would each Nostr user have to donate to generate 15m? For arguments sake, if it were 1000 each, in today's money for Western earners that's 5-10 days or 40-80 hours in wages. Get a group of Nostr Devs and thought thinkers to draft a rough road map and put it out there so everyone could spend an hour a day for a year working on making Nostr better, (from coding to writing, purple pilling...) the input would be worth way more than a single 15m round and still Nostr is decentralised.

The fact that they needed to re-raise in order to support a supposed protocol's growing user base shows that they're not building it right. Modularity, simplicity, and decentralization should reduce costs, outsource development, and undercut existing business models.

Bottom-up > top-down every day.

I’ve spoke with Kinjal from 2020 and she’s passionate and sharp.

In the end they didn’t invest in $mask which means slip away an100m$ opportunity for their LPs haha. However blockchain cap as a VC firm is very professional and did generate good cash.

On bluesky- i do believe Kinjal’s open, nice and long term — but I’m afraid she personally has not made enough money to really pursuing a super long term goal (build an open social network is time consuming and sometimes against making money). Many nostr Dev or open social OGs have made money and strong connections in Btc or their Web2.0 stocks and ventures - that’s a requirement for any long term commitment and patience.

They need to enable the zaps or tipping of some crypto social. As that is the norm of the socials on the blockchains lately. Blusky is cool but I feel Nostr, Grillapp and Hive do much better justice for content posters. Bluesky is a good option if anyone wants twitter like ecosystem and is not into bitcoin.
