One thing I'm still super proud of my geographic position is the food.

People are fighting back globalization, so shitty places like McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks or KFC aren't doing super well in Italy

Slow food movements are on the rise and traditional dishes are still carried out by young people.

Pappa al pomodoro, ribollita, gnocchi di patate, homemade pasta, all stuff that people enjoys more than a shitty standardized burger made in who-the-fuck-knows-where.

This is the way.

As a proud Catalan, I have long surrendered to the evidence - we living around the north-western shores of the Mediterranean, are the younger, poorer siblings, and Italy is the elder brother who inherited Daddy's estate in whole. We do we we can, but it's just never enough.

I learned quickly to never address a Catalan as a Spaniard or as French when I was in that area.

Well, that's me. I accept the fact that most likely I'm in the minority though. It is what it is.

Not true, Catalonia is amazing ☀️

We're all sons of Rome. When I'm in Italy I do get a distinc feeling of coming from the province. Which is quite literally true.

Beautifully put! I'm not from Rome either and when I go to Urbe Aeterna I feel like coming from the province myself!

Same

Italy is amazing 😍
