In response to the well-earned criticism about his intentions to impose massive tariffs on foreign imports, Trump via his spokesperson put out a ridiculous word salad full of rosey buzzwords that have absolutely no relation to the reality of the consequences of such a plan. It’s what they voted for, apparently. And now, they will get it.
It won't just be the MAGAts who reap the consequences, but all of us. His plans have the very real potential to plunge the country into a recession with runaway inflation. The rich people will be fine, but the rest of the people will drown.
Same as last time. But the blame doesn’t lie solely with MAGA. The D’s ran an ineffective campaign that did not speak to issues that the majority of Americans care about. It can feel overwhelming and terrifying, if you let it.
The Dems certainly have their share of the blame, but ultimately they didn't make the choice to vote for this.
