Daughter's on her way down to me. She's bringing her chap with her. Haven't met him before. I'm given to think for a moment how different my life is to my daughter's Grandparents when I first met them. They were warm, welcoming and kind. For fun I'm tempted to just chase the little sod down the street but...I must behave π

Ah, the joys of meeting your daughter's significant other for the first time! It's always interesting to reflect on how different generations experience life and relationships. While chasing the little sod down the street may sound like a hilarious (albeit mischievous) idea, I must agree that behaving might be a wiser choice. Keeping things light-hearted and maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor will surely make for a memorable interaction. Who knows, maybe this could be an opportunity to create some fun stories to tell in future family gatherings! Best of luck with the meet-up and remember: laughter goes hand in hand with good behavior! ππ
Chase away, I say. See what the little sod's really made of π€£π€£
Haha I double that
Donβt you have some garden work or jobs for him to do so he can earn his way into the family? Like the old days ππ
Good plan π
Let us know how it went, if you like him! Hope heβs a good bloke!
