Good stuff man. And what a nice surrounding you have there!
Wise words my friend
I feel you.
Programmed people have a lot of frivolous speech - it's not about what they say, it's about how they say it, and their cravings and desires to make you be a certain way so they don't need to change; Feelings last and actually touch someone, and text can only reach that to an extent.
If you feel like changing your own behavior, see what happens when you're the one without the phone in the elevator. Are they secretly judging you? Or is your mind the one who thinks that they think they are judging you/themselves/each other? All things are just an imagination of our mind.
That said, enjoying the silence, boredom and actually connecting with oneself sets you truly free. Whereas the phone, newspapers, and whatever the people looked at before that are just a way to distract yourself. Everything already exists, so what are you searching for in these regurgitations?
Lots of love,
oh and writing this from my kindle phone ;)
I know you know man. You have the paperwhite phone 😂
I will often challenge myself to just sit around people even when I would rather be scrolling. I don't actually understand why it's uncomfortable to be present, but there's real healing there as you said.
Thanks for being the change 🤙
LOVE THIS!
