Love it. Here is my homemade evaporator in NW Ohio. It's a great hobby. I lost my helpers to basketball and indoor track. I'm tired this year. I do buckets and bags (homemade pvc holder on bag) and I like the Fiskars nostr:npub1sweetl0gskmka0n5qevt7v2wj9q56ntwkmaeywffw4ftaucmcakquhns6h at 52 yrs old this is my first year with a log splitter(got a free one) I was struggling to keep up with maple and heating house. This is my 3rd year of selling for btc, I was about 1/2 and 1/2 of online twitter/nostr sales and local farmers markets. Can't wait until an official online BTC farmers market with 2-300 vendors all in one place.

Sweet setup! A bit larger scale than us, I only have small homemade evaporator with a 2x3’ pan so we’re pretty limited on how much sap we can actually keep up with each season. Although this season so far sap flow has been real slow compared to last few years. Warmer weather came too soon for us here, not getting the steady flows like we are used to!

Lugging buckets over here too, and I hear you about keeping up with all the firewood! I’m a couple year younger than you but I keep telling myself this is the year I get a splitter. One day! We do all our firewood too, it’s our only heat source plus everything that’s not great for the wood stove goes to the evaporator.

BTC farmer’s market would be amazing! Selling products for BTC changes everything, it’s been a blast sending out packages to bitcoiners all over the place. Imagine something like silk road but with 100’s of food & self-produced products.
