Yeah. I shut mine down as soon as the few market cooled down a bit over the last months or so. Kinda the same thought process for me.

Lightning at the current state is for the corps
Yeah. I did it for educational purposes. I wanted to understand it and know I could run one. So anything I βlostβ I count as a learning fee. As little as I need Iβm just using Phoenix now and Alby for zapping. Then move to cold storage.
how 'technical' do you guys think of yourselves, is it 'technical' barriers?
don't disagree, and my nodes offline too atm, but I do wonder what can make it easier.
I worry running a lightning node is only going to get more complex over time π

nice π will give a listen
I can fake my way through using a command line. By searching stuff on the internet. Iβm not a dev. But ive built a couple nodes. For me it wasnβt the technical side that was difficult. It was the stability and endless channel management. And knowing for my peace of mind. I want the sats in cold storage. Not a hot (lightning) wallet.
yeah same same. when do things ever get less complex over time though. peoples always want more and more features so won't lightning nodes end up bloated and the same
