I tried Umbrel, CasaOS, and StartOS.

They work — but it started feeling like I was running an OS just to host apps.

So I built Yantra.

Lightweight, isolated, no system takeover.

Runs on a Pi or laptop without hijacking your machine.

So Yantra is trying to build a 'faster, lighter, and more transparent' hosting app that is not a self-hosting OS.

To me this seems similar to Citadel migrating from a self-hosting OS to merging with Nirvati (Server management software). See https://nirvati.org/
