Lets say Nostr gets its primetime attention and the “famous” people join in droves. They’re going to want to be verified because of their self-importance.

They’ll possibly be verified through their own domain or another (Nip-05) plus their public address will allow they to tell people if they’re who they say they are which they can post on their other socials or websites

I suppose they all have what they would probably call "IT guy" on payroll to set that up for them.

Possibly I would imagine they’ll want them to do it for them to get rid of the so called fake accounts that and their npub can’t be replicated so it’ll be two ways to verify them

Ahh the npub, that's right. As you've mentioned, they'd have to display that elsewhere in other verified SM profiles or website for people to verify for themselves.

Exactly, granted it’ll be a learning curve for many but it’ll allow them to safely verify based on the npub 🫂
