it's how adoption moves in all technologies, there is a point where it slows down for a while as everyone rearranges themselves to adopt it and then bam it's every day stuff
i got my first mobile phone in 1999 or so, which was the flat point and it's when a lot of people start to get interested after the first round of early adopters has been tapped out
