I know a few asians and they love Germany compared to Asia. More days off, less work hours, less pressure on kids etc.

It depends on the person. Some people love socialism.
Canada is the same way, it's a socialist country, some people love it, normally the non ambitious love it, while people who are ambitious (business minded) normally do not like it
We've not had free markets for a long time. Who knows if its better?
asia has more of a free market then western countries, most asians don't understand this.
They think they are immigrating to a country with a bigger free market. It takes them years to understand the truth about western countries.
