I think limiting complaints is the best practical advice. However everything just depends on your personal jurisdiction and circumstances. I will give you my example and perhaps you can look into your own situation for something similar. I live in the state of Ohio. Ohio has a state law which is that if you have 5 or more acres then a property not in an incorporated city is free from complying with agricultural zoning restrictions. So the property I purchased is 5.03 acres. So even if the county or township would attempt to restrict agricultural activity the state of Ohio says I am exempt from those restrictions. It just depends on your individual circumstances.
