There is a paradox I'm noticing a lot when it comes to big tech alternatives, where people complain about there being not much content besides the same regurgitated crap, yet those same people don't join to give different content to them.

I think Nostr is experiencing this very phase rn but I know it will grow out of it sooner or later.

Maybe we do just have to suffer through posting what we love to the void so there's stuff here for people to find. Someone has to end the standoff at some point. Another issue though is ensuring the content actually stays around. The only way to do that is to run a relay that stores your stuff. There are some paid options out there but you're still trusting them. Your hard work can theoretically be pruned away. That's true for other platforms too, but they at least have business models that aren't just a bunch of hobby relays. These are the things I'm thinking about.
