High Steel Bridge, WA near Olympic national forest. This week I learned that there are hundreds if not thousands of off-grid dwellers, homesteaders, many veterans with PTSD and others looking to isolate and live their life away from society. It's a beautiful place, but it makes you wonder. It must not be easy to reintegrate once you leave the matrix.

I wouldn’t be surprised. I briefly looked for other accounts of the community you are describing but couldn’t find anything. I was stationed at Fort Lewis 2012 - 2015. Saw a fair amount of people on the west coast who seem to choose to be transient/homeless. Wondering if the VA has any type of outreach to these people. I’m guessing they not, but don’t know.

I don't live in the area, but I was told by someone who does. It seems like this isn't well documented.
