Ouch!! $18.33/pound for USDA Choice?!!

Yeah 🥺 I might need to start shopping around a bit.

Do you have space for a freezer? I think I payed about $4 a lb for my last half cow from a local farm.

Best I could do is maybe 1/8 cow.

I think most do whole, half, or quarter. Around here they charge us the same for each. Get one other household to split with you and you are good.

You need a pretty big freezer for even half a cow. I got lucky a couple years ago when a friend bought half a cow and couldn't fit it all so they gave a bunch away so it wouldn't go bad.

Slick deal you got there!

Buy a whole subprimal and cut it yourself. Save many💵

Interesting. I thought you guys are waaay cheaper on beef than us, my Kentucky friend once told me about chicken for a dollar etc. You got cheaper beef, we got cheaper duck or goose. But this what you write would be about 130 USD here.🤨Maybe I'm mistaken and our cuts are smaller, but I'd expect the difference to be like 50%.

Definitely depends on location. I'm in southern California where everything is more expensive.

Oh, right. You guys have those...distances. That's something extremely exotic here😀
