NIP-52 calendar events is picking up speed. Multiple clients have implemented it now, including Nosta, Flockstr, I think one other client that I can’t remember, and hopefully nostr:npub1c0nfstrlj0jy8kvl953v84hudwnpgad0zx709z0ey7nmjp0llegslzg243 at some point. I’m so excited.

This starts unlocking a path to not only online social interaction, but physical ones as well, all through the magic of Nostr. The best part? It’s all interoperable across clients. nostr:note1s0dzm29yf5w7a8a2pttdel6eplmeahcpmk2e5rxfknwt9qypua4ql6qg4m

Terry, would we be able to add GiftWrapped calendar events or another method, to make them private?

I haven’t followed the discussion of gift wrapping much and don’t know how it works. If I understand correctly, it’s still not merged. Theoretically if we have a generic gift wrapping NIP, we can probably apply it to calendars and calendar events to make them private. For now, they’re only public.

I’ve been thinking of name suggestions for Confstr after last week’s Plebchain Radio. The best one I’ve come up with yet is Huddle. A huddle is a gathering or meeting of people, and oftentimes involves them receiving instructions or information on what’s coming up (such as with sports or team huddles at work).

Love it. I think this is the best one yet.

Slack also uses the term Huddle for their gathering of people (over video/audio chat).
