My husband and I have been looking for land in different states to preferably find land with a stream so we can do hydro power, but at least solar. Or places with cheap electricity so we can have some before our own power production is up and working...

We've been thinking $10 per kwh was expensive, then we heard that my in-laws pay about $30 per kwh?! And they have a solar system for most of their needs, but still.

Adding to that how the grid gets shut down in CA at the whim of a governor or electric company, it sounds like a great idea to add solar if you live in CA and wanna stay.

Hope everything works out great and you find productive ways to deal with any access power produced. 🙂

I think you mean $0.10 per kWh right?

Yes! 🤣🤣 oops...

Highly recommend generators. Still beat batteries IMHO. I rotate 12 5 gallon fuel tanks each month so I always have fuel. We actually haven't lost power in at least 6 months. Big thing is power in CA is only getting more expensive for several reasons. Solar is a financial decision for us.
