I’m on iOS, I can select your notes in Damus, and translate them quickly using the translation feature in the phone.
I can’t do that in Bluesky, don’t know why 😭😂🫂💜 but you are anyways so that’s good 💜
When I press 3 dots in my Bluesky application, these alternatives appear in this window. And when I select translste, it switches to google translation
On the recommendation of a Japanese fren here on Nostr and based on personal use, DeepL seems to be the best app/site for translation I can find. It auto detects the language and is more accurate than the built in translations on my phone… it is manual, but just a suggestion if you want to read posts not in English. 🫶💜🫂
I use the phone’s translation on iOS, because it happens on the devise. I don’t want to give my data to DeepL, and they demand an astonishing amount of personal info to use the API, I’m just not comfortable with that.
But in terms of quality of the translation, DeepL is the best indeed.
