Sounded like bullshit to me, so I read the research linked in the article, and what do you know, it is bullshit:
"Much of the gender pay gap has been explained by measurable factors such as educational attainment, occupational segregation and work experience"
All other factors including alleged "gender discrimination" "may" contribute, but obviously there is no evidence to support the claim...
