I'm finishing up the tree box for the vitex, and all thats left is mulching. I typically would go to the county recycling center to get wood mulch. But I'm trying leaf mulch/debris from our wooded areas instead. It looks pretty rich and should do the job of holding moisture, and keeps us from having to drive into town. #grownostr #trees #mulch #permies

Just added some Vitex to our front yard. Hopefully they’ll grow quick and add some color.

Yes they are pretty fast growing, at least here in TX. Very drought tolerant too, once established.
