I’ve lived in eastern Washington state for 3 years. The people are great but you’re going to pay 50 cents a gallon for “carbon tax” on fuel and every thing is expensive.

Everything.

Save yourself and move to central Texas or east Texas.

We won’t move to Texas for various reasons. I would like to stay in Nevada personally, but my wife likes the climate of Seattle area (she understands living an hour+ outside of the city would be the reality with housing costs).

Fair enough. Western Washington is even more expensive than where we are so just be prepared.

We need simulators for economic regions. Being able to “buy a house or rent, pay bills, employment, go grocery shopping” in a place you want to live would be useful.

The way to go in western washington is to live on the opposite side of the bay in Kitsap county, and if working in Seattle, commute by ferry.

Also, be aware that the “Seattle freeze” is a real thing.
