Those in line can’t opt out. Can’t act on knowledge you don’t have.

Incorrect. They can, just as I did. Your response removes entirely the individual’s responsibility and agency. As a Bitcoiner, you must surely know and expect better.

That’s the work part.. until they put it in, they can’t. Should, sure. But haven’t. So.. they stand in line. They accept the stays quo. As a bitcoiner, this a surely how it should be understood. What am I missing? How is this incorrect?

If you don’t believe it or don’t get it, I don’t have the time to try to convince you, sorry.”

No worries, I have time. Fairly certain there’s a simple misunderstanding or we disagree on something fundamental. The fundamental disagreement seems unlikely.

I’ll try again.. the folks standing in the line you mentioned.. they’ve yet to realize there’s another way. They lack the information needed to “opt out” hell, they don’t even know there’s even an opting out option. When they become aware of an alternative, then they can choose to educate themselves on that alternative. Once educated, when the work has been put in (much as you did, I’m sure. I know I had to) then they can opt out.

Until then, they’ll continue standing in line unable to opt out.
