Magnetic South Pole isn't even over Antarctica... Its not even inside the antarctic circle... Makes me wonder...

The magnetic south pole is moving towards western Australia. The magnetic north pole is moving towards Russia. Picture that on a globe... The poles are pinching on one side of the planet.

The earth is round.

The earth is flat.

This is all a simulation.

The magnetic poles are shifting.

Honestly we have been so mind fucked that I am firmly in the belief that unless I become a world explorer that sails from every end of the globe. Conducting highly detailed scientific experiments myself to determine what is actually going on.

All of the above is true.

All of the above is false.

Then I am not surprised with whatever the true answer is.

Is it accelerating? I've heard that it's intrinsically linked to the solar magnetic reversal... That recently completed a flip correct? Is there a time lag for the planetary magnetic poles to flip?

From a thing I watched, it doesn't seem to be accelerating, but there's no telling if/why it might change, since we have only sketchy indirect insight into the mantle and core. It has flipped many times, but idk when the last flip was. It makes sense that it would interact with the magnetism of the sun, but idk how strongly they interact.
