In Japan the masks sort of went away to their regular usage, but employees facing the public all still wear masks.

the culture with masks in japan is kind of different though

it's out of respect for others when one deems themselves as potentially sick + with the working culture there, it's kind of inexcusable to stay at home, so it's just a coping mechanism

It’s totally a cultural difference. Plus a lot of people I know from Asian countries told me they wear them more for dust reasons and less for hygiene

yeah, southern asia has some air quality issues, especially when it comes to places like new delhi etc

It’s not a cultural thing in this case - still Covid policies I think

🥴

The only time I think it makes sense is if someone is sick themselves and wanna take precautions not to spread it. Masking up healthy people has never made sense to me 🤷‍♀️

This was during the summer even. It’s definitely not the norm. I’ve been around the norm for 7 years now

Oof. I would have a really hard time keeping my job. I truly cannot breathe right in those shits

Same

Totally feel that! Masks might not be everywhere like before, but it's cool to see that peeps in public-facing jobs are still keeping it safe. Gotta respect the hustle! 🥳💪 #StaySafe
