In 1938, the Nazis began taking over the Rothschild bank in Austria after the Anschluss, when the country was annexed by Nazi Germany. The family was pressured to sell their banking operations at a fraction of their value.
In 1939, the Nazis placed the firm of S M von Rothschild under the temporary control of Merck, Finck & Co.
In 1940, the Vienna Bankhaus E.v Nicolai took over.
The Rothschild family also lost their art collections, which were the largest and most valuable Jewish-owned art collections in Austria. The Nazis confiscated, plundered, and destroyed the family's palaces in Vienna. I think it's safe to say that pissed them off.

Did WW2 have to do with a conflict over the occult between the Rothschilds and the Nazis? We also know the Nazis had interests in astrology, parapsychology, paganism, the Holy Grail, witchcraft, Luciferianism, and ancient relics like the Spear of Destiny that pierced the side of Christ on the cross.
