I bought one ETH back in November 2020. I eventually sold it for BTC. We all make mistakes.

I thought bcash was better in 2018 because low fees are good duh

I still get emails from blockfi and Celsius about their legal proceedings and their data leaks.

I realized right away the only real decentralized crypto was Bitcoin. I never bought any of'em. My only regret in all of this is that one of my sons told me to buy Bitcoin when it was $3.50 a coin.. Let's say he still reminds me of my answer to him. "no thanks, it's a fad that isn't gonna last." Let's just say my cost basis has a few more digits to the left of the period. No matter. Freedom is everything..
I bought eth and every shitcoin under the Sun. It was fun! Yet I’m here.
I am reserving judgment until nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 clarifies which transaction was the mistake.
🧐
😄
I had one ETH because someone pitched me the idea of hedging POW - I luckily got out of that 18 months ago thanks to nostr:npub1s33sw6y2p8kpz2t8avz5feu2n6yvfr6swykrnm2frletd7spnt5qew252p
I bought monkey NFT I confess 😔
🤣 Now that's something I can say I never did. I never bought an NFT.
Monkey, mouse, horse lol how stupid I was 🤦♂️
Still better than aping into Hoskinsons NFTs. I thought, these digital art pieces would be such great artifacts from blockchain era to carry to the future. These Cardano people will be remembered as legends.
So many flaws in my thinking process backthen, it is not funny 🤦
These are mistakes that make us stronger 💪
Cardano and polkadot 😭. Still not over it.
I remember thinking Cardano and Charles Hotchkinson were the next big thing 🤣🤣🤣
I was on the Quark Coin train way back.
Right! Brilliant marketing.
Nothing was such an eye opening moment to me as hearing Gladsteins fighting monetary colonialism with open source code. I went up from bed at 3 in the morning and sold all my Ada to Sats and never looked back. 0 Shitcoins since nor in the future.
Presale paid for ETH with BTC which is now back to BTC.
Funny, that’s about when I converted my .1 eth to cold hard corn on shitcoinbase just before deleting my account. It was at a significant loss compared to if i had just bought corn in the first place, but felt amazing
wheres the mistake?
ํYup. I sold also most of shitcoins in 2020 too. Still got very tiny amount left to show that shitcoins are just shit.
My biggest btc flex is that I’ve never owned a shitcoin. One of the benefits of coming in after Saif’s book was published.
Don’t worry Derek, when i first bought some bitcoin i also bought a bag of ADA and sold that for more sats so we all shitcoined at one point 😂
It's really nice for me to read through this thread and see that I'm not the only one who used to be retarded🤣no offence to anyone else of course! But my point is back when I first got into "crypto" Bitcoin was an afterthought and I was just looking for a quick bag, it seems a few others started off like that before learning fully about Bitcoin and understanding the value of hard money. I'm happy we are all going through this journey together, and I hope we can continue to learn and improve our knowledge every single day :)
We’ve all been there.
We were programmed since our birth to think with a fiat mindset. People get into #bitcoin, think they are late and buy some shitcoins. Fiat mindset still.
Then it crashes, the convinces people start studying and after a while everyone’s mind gets reprogrammed and they start to see clearly that Bitcoin is the only solution and they dedicate their life to it.
Except for people like Bitboy.
Excommunicated!
