Best thing right now is to try to inform people on freedom tech and how to use it. Most won't see a use case until it's too late sadly
i think it highlights how crucial it is not to cut corners in terms of decentralisation. its the solutions that cant be shut down that will thrive and ultimately thats a good thing for bitcoin. JoinMarket v Wasabi for eg.

Favorite self hosting tools?
Starting from the favorite router firmware: OpenWRT.
Then for personal server yunohost, for nodes raspibolt. As hardware I like SBC like RPI and odroid.
What about you?
I mainly just host Bitcoin stuff and proxy some services out to clear via a VPS.
For files, I'm a paying Proton user that makes regular offline backups.
Haven't delved into the router stuff yet, but that seems like the next logical step.
I want to dig into start9 soon.
I hear very good things, just wish their UI was more polished.

I thought Bitcoin was decentralized and censorship resistant
Bitcoin is, perhaps with the exception of recent mining developments that most don't seem bothered by.
All of the recent attacks are on centralized products built on top of it.

Looks like "they" are preparing to squat on the Bitcoin and claim it for their own purposes. (Bitcoin for me, but not for thee)

Maybe, who knows. I think it's important to always make yourself less reliant on platforms and self-host as much of your infrastructure as possible.

My new strategy is to focus my energy on things that are State-level resistant and ignore/shit on everything else.

my strat didn't change since i don't live in a fuck up country privacy/property right wise. I just live in a fuck up country economy wise xD
The only one way out I can think of is to grow the adoption in a circular economies now. I doubt people will take action even when cornered with a #CBDC. Most people didn’t mind taking the poison. The path of least resistance is often chosen. I’d like to believe that holding private crypto and wait for the storm to pass would be enough but I doubt that will make it. The #Goldback is also a good alternative which is easier for people to understand and adopt (again this comes down to the path of least resistance).
