What's absolutely wild is that NOBODY wants to pay them, but everyone does, and nobody stops because of fear of retaliation.

A tax revolt has nothing to do with actually withholding money from the government because they print it. The only effective tax revolt is to use Bitcoin only as your every day money. Audits are nothing, it's the enforcement that creates issues.

The majority of people, who get refunds wouldn’t have to opt out to make the point. When the people with tax liabilities opt out and the people with refunds coming don’t opt out, that really squeezes their beans.

See the IRS was miles ahead of the pleb. Often forgotten that most people get their income tax automatically withheld, so it's not like they can easily stop paying (income) taxes if they wanted to. It's automatic.

Opt out is not easy when you are a salary earner and the tax is deducted by your employer, and you pay sales tax on every purchase. Companies that opt out better have btc payments set up with all their suppliers and customers, for when their bank accounts are frozen. The easiest way for the state to control the population is though institutions like banks, listed companies, etc. It's a much smaller population that in turn touches everyone.

Inflation IS taxation. That is, the government isn't going to collapse as long as they can just keep debasing the dollar. So, there is no 'tax revolt' unless that includes a dollar revolt.

Of course, bitcoiners are already onboard with opting out of the dollar 😉
