Enjoying this discussion and looking forward to more like it. My wife and I hope to start a family soon. Becoming a Bitcoiner over the last few years made me realize I wasn’t thinking critically for myself at all up until now and was being indoctrinated along with the masses.
Trying to reconcile these transformative few years for myself with what was an indoctrinated life until then has me a bit terrified of how to get it right for our kids.

I think there is value in your children attending school, regardless the content delivered to them i.e. social, routine, competition, love and relationships..
As a parent, I want my kid exposed to as much as possible, encourage them to critically think, and help guide. It could also be detrimental to sell them your own narrow views.
You are certainly not alone in this line of thinking. The problem is, the misconception that brick and mortar schools have a monopoly on those aspects of education and socialization. It’s admittedly more work to find those environments, but in my experience, has been more than worth it.
My indoctrination comment was a bit tongue in cheek - while public school will offer exactly one version of how to understand the world, we have been quite intentional about teaching our children *how to learn* rather than attempting to sell them our worldview. This is discussed extensively in the episode and my book.
