For years now, every time a govt agency or politician says they need to do something to “protect democracy” or “bring freedom to…” blah blah, I instantly know they are full of sh*t. Whatever they want, it’s a lie & it’s going to make things worse and it’ll give them more political power.

The only way to "bring more freedom" is to reduce the size of government.
A politician can’t protect democracy any more than a corporation can protect capitalism. Just do your job and leave the market (or democratic process) alone.
