Having servers in Switzerland is not so different from having it in EU. For example Proton give with ease data from suspected people to Europol. Selling product as privacy centric because of Swiss laws is very deceitful! Be careful of honeypots! Do not trust other servers to be private!
And you can be sure of one thing.
All of those people forcing to push this anti-freedom, anti-human rights laws WILL have they own encrypted messaging app so no one, not even law enforcement and anti-criminal agencies, will see what kind of criminal, horrible things they are doing. Just as they do today.
The fact that some people are exempt is actually in the draft.
