Shower thoughts with Derek Ross:

What if paying your income taxes with bitcoin is a budget neutral strategy to grow the US SBR?

Additionally, using bitcoin to pay taxes does not yield capital gains taxes.

Getting close to a legal tender when paying taxes in bitcoin

true

Not close. It would be.

Seems a logical budget neutral option.

what other ones exist? im sure others do, but this was the only one i could come up with besides diverting some DOGE savings? but that that point, it doesn't become savings, does it? instead of using it for column A they're using it in cloumn B.

Ones I can think of (in addition to tax paid in it):

(a) if departments under budget, savings go into SBR (are governments ever under budget though?!)

(b) additional seizures

(c) sales of the other crypto

(d) deals with miners (he mentioned keen for mining in US)

(e) sale of other assets such as gold / foreign reserve currency

(f) donations :-)

Any others?

Dumping the shitcoins for bitcoin would be epic.

(g) tariffs paid in Bitcoin

Added bonus: Does not grow size of government. Does not service debt incurred for ongoing international belligerence nor domestic cockknockery.

This is a way. Win-win

Fuck that.

However you get your jollies. You do you.

You clowns so desperately hoping Trump and the US will pump your bags so you can move up the ladder and live in the same system is HYSTERICAL. Sorry that BTC didn’t go to $10m and you’re still not welcome at Mar-A-Lago. So many pretenders here hoping to be the next alpha republican.

Taxation will be going away. Trump is going to abolish the IRS.

It's a nice dream, though.

What happens four years after that? This is the problem with statism.

I have been thinking about this too. What if when an individual or company pay tax in Bitcoin, they get a discounted tax rate say 25% and if they choose to pay in dollar, it will be normal rate without discount... that could speed up adoption for sure. But of course, no tax would be preferred.

No

Hahaha but no

Taxation is theft

Why do we want to give the Govern Mental any Bitcoin?

How would that be any different from buying Bitcoin with your taxes?

Interesting thought. Paying taxes in Bitcoin could indeed bolster the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (if that’s even a thing yet). But wouldn’t this just accelerate the game theory where governments quietly accumulate while telling the public it’s ‘too volatile’?

Shitter thoughts with "beleaguered American""

What if American Gov't simply returned to the pre-1913 Int'l Banking Cartel illegal invasion era . . .& Ceased & Desisted from extorting the financial fruits of its constituents own labor? . . .enabling individual SBR!?!
