ECB Executive Piero Cipollone on the 💶 Euro CBDC:

"We can only see 3 things for each transaction:

1) A code representing the payer

2) The amount to be transferred

3) A code representing the payee

We won't be able to link the code of the payer/payee to a specific person."

This guy has never even used email and he’s trying to explain payment encryption.

Absolute 100% complete and utter bs

Even if it may be true in the beginning, the system is under their control and they can change it whenever they want.

So they can only blacklist "a code of a person". If they actually wanted anonymity they could implement ecash.
