Fail. All the packages split open in the fire, revealing beautiful charcoal, but it all burned up. 😔

Can't / won't claim to speak from experience, but it sounds like an effective way to deal wih medium sized evidence...

Two big pizza sauce cans put together with a small hole in the end. Crimp the top of one can so it fits inside the open end of the other.
Fill with wood scraps put the open ends together and throw in the fire.
Did it work? I would think the foil would melt. Coffee cookie tins, popcorn tins, and soup cans work for small stuff.
