Good Genesis Block Morning!

Good Christmas Morning!

Ah yes, I see you defined these as 'tied to real world' obligations. I'd mentally upgraded Core Id to Banks, Government, Legal & Medical, sort of tier-1 accounts. Mental drift corrected, it's on the to do list (after presents for young relatives!).

Look what just arrived. πŸ™‚

Who wants a game?

Thanks, I rarely get a 'free' (less rushed) morning coincide with this sort of weather. It was too good to pass up, so I took my phone for a walk. πŸ™‚

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I feel better already πŸ˜€.

Enjoy, I'm jealous of your taste buds. πŸ˜‰

I'm working hard to forget that I've clearly found the Eye of Sauron...

Congrats on the award!

You're not in Scotland anymore then πŸ™‚

Listening to radio...

Radio: Japanese scientists have returned moths taken into space.

Me: ? odd, I guess they've had frogs up there, why not moths. Maybe it's research into pollinators?

Radio: The moths have been in space for over 9 months.

Me: Impressive, how long is a moth's lifespan?

Radio: The scientist say they were impressed that even after being outside the space station for 9 months, when returned to the lab, the vast majority of the moths successfully grew and reproduced.

Me: WFT?

Radio: They predict, based on this data, that MOSS spores could survive up to 15 years in space and still grow healthily afterwards.

Me: Shame, that would've been epic.

Moody / overcast but mutedly colorful GN

If you've not heard about the 'pig butchering' scams (no animal slaughter involved), make this your next listen. If you have, this interview provides information that could help you advise & protect your loved ones.

A new pleb (well, Nostr user at least) to welcome. Not that it should make a difference but this one is a reporter, and hence can amplify the effect of a warm welcome!

I'm not able to log in to your gitea repo yet.

I've tried my email (proton mail) & just chanceofdizzyspells as my user name.

Am I missing something obvious?

'We can just do shit' becomes irrelevant if we don't spend some time doing shit, esp for the greater good of the tribe.

However, I have to get an OSM account first. Email sent, sigh.

Self correct, it's a btc thing, with intentions of becoming a nostr thing. Ok I'll put down my vibe coding for long enough to look at the repo.

A guy at work blew my mind when he explained that old lime mortar (any age) can be scraped out of a wall, put in a bucket with some new mortar and it turns back into fresh mortar.

It's completely recyclable!! Old tech isn't necessarily bad tech. He gave me a further 15-20mins on how great lime is (e.g. breathable, adapts to ground settling & loads of other things I've forgotten).

Anyhow, that cottage looks beautiful / brand new. Impressed at your skills.

I LOVED this interview. It's so inspiring to hear about freedom tech projects advancing in the shadows. I had the pleasure/opportunity to test fedimint at a workshop at Bitcoin Atlantis. The Fedi team impressed me there & this interview revealed how hard they've been working. I'm feeling really bullish about community custody (& I don't service my car beyond screen wash, wiper blades & an occasional oil change!), particularly in the under-banked / unbanked communities.

Always enjoy your shows, don't always have sats to show it. It's pay day, so that's my chance to say thanks, & prove I find value in your content by sending some back.

Just been paid, so here's some value for your content. I don't follow all of it, particularly the depths of the mining tech discussions, but I appreciate having access to quality educators.

Just been paid, so now I can send you some value, in return for yours. Appreciate all the work you put in and the consistency (despite families & political dramas etc.)
