Bitchat is nostr?
I thought the same thing. As far as I know, it's not.
Bitchat it's a hybrid system: it uses Bluetooth mesh for local, offline communication and Nostr for internet-based communication.

They say you have to pay bitchat for it to work... Where? I've looked everywhere and it doesn't say where to pay. It's a bit confusing just like the zaps in here. Better communication is needed. A small introduction to people, perhaps. Something.

This is exactly how I imagine the future of the internet. You won’t need to say it’s on Nostr when everything is Nostr.
Bitchat has to be something of a right time right place because exact copies of that had existed in various forms before.
