I always wondered why women felt this way. Is it baby fever?
It's that they see that their offspring would have a caring father. I think Kip is a good one for even finding it hot because I don't think that applies to many other women. They rather get the hots for a guy being strict and disciplined to the kid.
To clarify: the hots because he is caring (kip's case) versus merely thinking the guy can look like he can provide a good family situation but not really feeling attracted to him for it (many others' case).

I don’t think I’ve ever met a healthy woman that liked a harsh man toward children. It’s a pretty heartless type of man and she probably was abused to find that a good thing.

Maybe in part. But also I find when someone is good with small children and/or animals, they're also very good at attuning to other living beings. A big part of that is having good kind positive protective energy, it's a tell that they'll also be good with women too.
