The biggest cause of unnecessary suffering in this era is due to bad money. Despite how much more productive humanity has become compared to 50 years ago, our progress has not reflected in this dysfunctional economy. A good economy increases both the quality and quantity of time of each individual during their life. The most important benefits from technological advancement have been mostly negated by the power to print (legal counterfeiting). Humanity's biggest enemies are literally thieves of time.

Not to mention printing and plundering from their own citizens is the only way they can fund their warfare.

That's why Bitcoin is the baseline to begin undoing all unnecessary suffering.

I think a more accurate version of "Bitcoin fixes this" is "Nothing can truly be fixed until the money is fixed".

Money has been an abstract force of violence by states to regulate and control people.

I believe humanity as a whole has forgotten how important a strong community is. Over time we have been sold the lie that progression is more important. The powers that be have worked very hard to destroy the family unit and taught people to work and strive as individuals, instead of striving towards a common agreed upon goal. Money is just the catalyst for power to inflict a will over a society and steer it towards an individual goal. Money and crypto are valueless compared to physical assets such as good food and clean water (a diminishing commodity this day and age). We have been sold the lie that money is more valuable than someone’s physical labour and time. Peoples labour and time will always be exploited regardless of the monetary system put in place. There will always be the haves and have nots. Utopia will never exist in this realm, it never has and it never will.

I don't have any strong disagreement with any of that yet I feel like you disagree with something I said haha. I think on money itself.

Money IS someone's performed labour and time, conserved into something to be traded for food, water and shelter indeed.

Or at least it should be, but broken money means your labor's worth and your time is diminished. Unless you're living completely self-sufficient outside of society.

That is the nature of money; however, it will always be an exploitation for the haves over the have nots.

Yeah that's where we disagree I think.

On a hard money standard, those who do not provide ANY value to the world would be the only "have nots".

I don't believe in any free meals, aside from parent to child ofcourse.

Right now, indeed, there's exploitation but that is not the nature of money. That is the nature of bad money.

We’ll have to agree to disagree, that’s cool. IMO that is the path to eugenics which is the direction the world is going in now. I care about people, view it as a weakness if you like. Soon with the rise of AI there will be a lot of people seeking free lunches; from artists to office clerks. Are they not deserving of a free lunch? Do they not deserve to live because they have passed their societal usefulness? We live in strange times and I keep community and humanity in my heart.

I also care about people, that's exactly why I am so outspoken for hard money 😉 So people do not get their existence robbed. And even so that they do not get robbed from the necessary amount of parental love.

The people in need of a free lunch are exactly the people that got fucked over by the bad money and its effects (one example being because their parents could not provide enough love and nurture due to having to work more and more for increasingly less valuable money).

That's why families are fucked now. Because the woman is expected to work as well and cannot be with her kids as much as is needed. This also means she will be more anxious in the relationship and will feel less safe. This will make her too tough on her man. Which will be hard on him, while he's working all the time to support his family. And the vicious cycle continues.

Get rid of the bad money, and eventually there's nobody in need of "free" lunches because people can take proper care of their children, who can then take care of themselves.

I know I sound like a broken record here but money is an insanely deep rabbit hole my friend.

Yeah about those circles lol; good money will never exist due to human nature, corporate greed and pursuits for power. Monopolies will always occur under the guise of capitalism. There is no monetary solution and there is no such thing as good money. I don’t advocate for communism either, so I am clear. The issues you speak of, at its core, are societal issues and the acceptance of circumstances by a very disconnected community to live that way.

It sounds like you haven't looked into Bitcoin much yet 😆 You'll see what I mean one day 💜

I have. Blackrock and Vanguard own a huge share from off ramping to fiat via the exchanges they own (they own everything BTW). Trump has recently allowed banks to hold and loan BTC which means they’ll accumulate interest as they always have. Slowly more laws will pass on how it can be exchanged and what the government/corporate approved wallets for spending will be, for safety of course. Unapproved wallets will be taken off phones via the Apple and Google app stores, a monopoly will ensue. Now you’re left with a wallet on a phone that records your movements, transactions and who you interact with which leaves people worse off than what they were before. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll have a couple of good years with trump as he builds the 15 minute cities and the AI farms to govern them. He’ll want as much positivity about crypto as he can. But at the end of the day people who have self custody of wallets will start trading in the black markets over an internet that is monitored by quantum levels of AI. Utopia doesn’t exist.

*Main/side quests*

I had a short conversation here with a guy that introduced himself on Nostr and tried it out for a few days. He already left.

He wasn't stupid but obviously very ignorant on the topic of money.

We had a conversation and the topic became "helping people". I kept trying to make my point that I'm trying to help out EVERY single individual by advocating for hard money, but I think his negative worldview wouldn't even let him entertain the possibility that this is something that would save the world.

Nor did he seem to believe my intentions.

So he kept saying the same, about wanting to give "free" meals to those in need, and helping out his community.

So he's not a bad dude per se, his focus is just too narrow. This made me think of a concept in gaming: The main quest and sidequests.

Sidequests usually are insignificant and even though it's admirable that you want to help people in your community, you're helping just that person, or maybe a few, survive for one day longer. Not attempting to look for more productive ways to increase your aid to others is known as short time preference behaviour.

I'm afraid many people forever stay stuck in an endless cycle of sidequests, without ever attempting the main quest.

The main quest is usually about saving the entire world, which includes EVERY living creature. This is why bitcoin is the main quest, which I tried to explain to him.

Sidenote: trying to orange pill one person is trying to help only one individual indeed, but it may spread to others and thus is linked to the main quest 😁

If anyone feels like reading the conversation I had with him, it's here:
