It’s better to say that just your account can’t be taken away from you. Everything else can be taken away by relays and client bugs.
Except the random client error that deletes all and/or just a random number if your follows or relays 🤷
(I've started backing up now, but still, it's happened multiple times, and it its random people it takes days or weeks to notice)
