Elf (2003) is a Christmas movie in the real sense of the word. It’s not Die Hard, it’s not Home Alone, or any other film you watch around Christmas in your country. It’s literally about Christmas.

It’s funny, and the story is easy to follow. With the exception of some mild profanities (I really don’t know how big a deal “up yours!” is—oh, sorry, spoiler alert), you can watch it with kids. You can also play it in the background while you’re preparing food for guests.

It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s a pleasant movie for a cold, (hopefully snowy) Christmas day.

Score: 6/10 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Rewatch worthy: Yes ✅, though most of my rewatch-worthy films are over 7 stars.
