Frost anchors?
Interesting screw piles.
Around here we have deep frosts and poor, silty soils. Screw piles are used extensively for decks, sheds, car ports, replacement foundations under cabins. Except the are much longer and have short wide threads.
You must have a different purpose, like trying to penetrate extremely hard ground.
