Comfrey Bocking #4 that I purchased from nostr:npub1vwymuey3u7mf860ndrkw3r7dz30s0srg6tqmhtjzg7umtm6rn5eq2qzugd a couple years ago.
These MFers survived a major flood LFG 💗.

This is what you call "Legacy comfrey". It'll be fun when I buy root cuttings from ShiShi to get the exact same genetics I sold him.
It's like he kept the genetics in a "bank" for me.
Comfrey is an absolute beast, it will happily spread like wildfire. If you end up with too much it makes great fertiliser as well so don’t be afraid of pulling some up. Bees are going to love that when it flowers as well.
Bocking #4 doesn't spread!
Only root propagation 💗.
That's the point of having this variety 😎.
14 is sterile to, isn’t it?
Yes! I don't have any traditional comfrey, I don't want it to take over my smallish property.
When I have a larger parcel I will add it tho 💗
Yeah. I wouldn’t use regular comfrey unless you are on serious acreage.
Ah, I didn’t realise it was a sterile variety, I stand corrected! We’ve got some white comfrey in our garden. The roots aren’t so deep so I actually don’t mind it spreading about it is very easy to manage and provides early (and consistent) flowers for pollinators.
