The person you're citing is completely misguided, the change has nothing to do with what they're observing -- in fact, the change would fix their problem, as tags authored in non-Mastodon software that are not included in the body of the post would become visible for the first time. My change would also not remove a hashtag from the end of a paragraph. Only if you put it on its own line.

nostr:npub1xzmt2d95f7watzyqktl982d7jfe5ptktusv4j20csz8nxxgmhq6q30eykm I think the person I'm citing is myself?

Do you have a set of tests I can look at to better understand the behavior you've designed? I was relying on the screenshots in the Github issue.

Also, I was unaware of this: "as tags authored in non-Mastodon software that are not included in the body of the post would become visible for the first time"; are you saying that ActivityPub already supports non-inline tags on posts?

Is it time for hashtags to evolve?

Well, they're about to on Mastodon due to an upcoming change in v4.2.0, advanced by nostr:npub1xzmt2d95f7watzyqktl982d7jfe5ptktusv4j20csz8nxxgmhq6q30eykm himself.

I have some thoughts.

Interesting... downloading videos on Twitter will be a paid feature.

"Only verified [X] subscribers can download videos. Sign up for Blue to continue."

Also, isn't Blue now "X Premium"? 🤔

Spotify is now using its in-app megaphone to promote engagement with podcast Q&As ("The mic is yours").

Curious if Pivot is actually testing this feature or if Spotify is running this on behalf of podcasters.

I see it now. I looked earlier using #Chrome which has some strange caching behavior.

Repeating the process using a different browser, as I should have in the first place, confirms the placement of "me" attribute and value (one's profile doc url) pair in .

Now I need to see if nostr:npub18qspvzn3qyxh4jrex8ed07nzrgxjvxfykmglzvzy8dneta4hy5usg60s8s is picking up my cross references en route to validation :)

Spotify has a variant of its What's New feed that takes over the main area.

What other content might end up in this wider feed? Videos, perhaps?
