Most people never check their ego and a walking around making poor decisions unaware of what their ego is. “Killing your ego” to me means humbling myself regularly; obviously I love and value myself but ego is not you, ego is what you think you are at an almost subconscious level.

I cut off all my hair every once in a while, and when I look in the mirror I see myself and I realize that it’s not my looks or a nice hairstyle that defines who I am. I intentionally avoid brand name or flashy clothes, cars, electronics, jewelry, anything that could be interpreted as a status symbol.

People are walking around with main character syndrome, desperately trying to conform to what they think makes them high value in society; they become prisoners to their own habits and I see it destroying lives.

Narcissism and Sociopathic behaviors IMO are born directly out of distorted perceptions where egos run wild.

Kill your ego, and build back a more pure version; don’t sleep on it though because it’s a lifelong battle.

There are a lot of ridiculous health trends these days with people giving out advice like “sun maxing” or “eat only meat” here are a few basic habits I practice that should get you going in the right direction.

MENTAL

-Become aware of your ego, then kill it

-Practice emotional intelligence

-Focus on the being present in the moment

-Think about who and what’s important to you

-Invest your time and energy in the people who matter

FOOD

-Drink lots of clean water; no plastic bottles

-Eat only unprocessed foods

-Read labels, don’t eat anything with added sugar or preservatives

-Avoid non-organically grown fruits and veggies

-Use only grass fed or free range meat

-Don’t cook with or consume seed oils

-Track your macros every now and then

-Water fast a few days a month

SLEEP

-Try to get 8 hours of sleep

-Practice good sleep hygiene

EXERCISE

-Get in some zone 2 cardio at least 3-4 times a week

-Lift weights or challenge your muscles

-Don’t get injured

AVOID

-Drinking alcohol

-Smoking anything; use oral or topical path if you must

-Phthalates

-PFAS

-Using chemicals in general, most are untested as to their impacts on health

-Excessive sun exposure; choose protective clothing over sunscreen

I hope these tips I’ve learned on my journey help someone. Everyone is different so what works for me might not work for you. Whatever methodology you subscribe to always remember it could be wrong, so stay humble and keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out.

I'd like to continue working on Iris & Nostr, but would need funding soon. Any grants available?

Iris is MIT licensed and will always remain free and open source. It's available for web, Android, iOS and desktop. Works just fine on the Tor Browser.

Iris design goals have been speed, reliability and ease of use. I want to work on these further. I want to add public and private custom feeds, including user lists, content filters and different ranking algorithms. We also need group chats and better DM privacy.

I want to add more p2p capability to clients. Syncing of events over WebRTC, local area network or even bluetooth. Iris already supports Webtorrent, but the interface needs improvement. I think we should actually have nostr:file urls for binary files and transmit them over relays or direct p2p.

I'll try to get Iris subscriptions done soon, but it will probably be some time until it's sustainable income.

There's so much cool stuff to be done that I don't want to go back to fiat mining 😄

Go into the Explore tab, which is where you can select 3 different views. Follow, Network, and Global if i remember right, or something similar.

select follow, and up at the top you will see “add to your timeline” or something close. don’t remember the exact wording.

then in settings you can arrange different feeds in different orders.

I could not disagree more and your comment speaks volumes of your lack understanding of MFA and its inherent risk reductions.

Please research MFA on your own to understand more and ask if you have any questions.

And if anyone else reads this person saying “be careful what and were you 2FA” please research it more on your own because this is directly promoting the lack of your data security.

fiatjaf made noscl, but it feels more like a CLI util than a full client. Then, there is Nostr Commander, a dart CLI client, but i have not tried it. Those are the only ones I know.
