My new job is starting next week. And now I am in a bit of a pinch; there is much to do around my home and paperwork to finish. One last convention come this saturday, and this officially concludes my "fun time". The sunday after is basically sleep, make breakfast for tomorrow, and sleep more. That following monday I will be mining fiat. Though I am quite excited; it's an apprenticeship in software dev and system integration - exactly where I feel home between devOps and sysOps. :D

Maybe I can charter one of the old, broken servers and turn it into a mighty powerfull Nostr DVM in the future haha XD

Imagine if filesystems didn't have path hierarchies. Every directory would be represented by an integer in a flat hierarchy.

Whenever you want a new directory for your application feature, you'd pull request on someone's Github repository to reserve a new integer so that others don't use the same for a different purpose.

If you don't know the meaning of a directory number on your system, you can always check that one Github repo.

There's also no filenames, so you can't replace an existing file, only add to the same directory.

No worries, it's just I spent some time reviewing the `hyper-protocol` sources, they use the same ratchet system as signal/telegram but in a p2p manner. A Sybil attack or network takeover can only prevent you from gaining connection to your known peer, whilst using a server is the very definition of having a man in the middle.

I think it's only just clicking for me that the death of the web is upon us. Instead of "googling" for stuff folks are searching on tiktok, instead of indexable forums there's closed discord communities. In fact apps and services are becoming locked within proprietary apps like discord. Paired with "ai" language models creating infinite web spam the whole thing is becoming less useful for the average person.

I'm not sure how to describe this, but people seem like they personalise things a lot less in this day and age.

For example back when I was a kid, everyone had custom ringtones, but nobody does now.

Back when I was playing #PSOBB, people would mod the game's aesthetics so much, whether it was using custom skins or even creating them.

Now? Nobody does any of these things, everyone has and uses all the same things, don't customise stuff even if given the option and it's like... what happened!?

With their new policies, they are effectively banning scientific debate on their platform. They will only allow content which agrees with the mega-corporate health industrial complex, and Gates funded NGOs.

Be very cautious trusting only Youtube for anything having to do with health. They will only represent one narrow western corporate mindset. Do your due diligence
