It's the old "i accept" Button next to each EULA and web2/cookie-factory.
Users have experienced daily training to find and press that button since before win95 :'-)
nostr:npub1q9y3wrl83vrpeek8990l7td2xqlhzzap0m7clt7cxsef9dpft6zq9lwty4 - this is the thing you were fixing right?
Uh maybe, i think it's about finding an easy to replicate model which is balanced between cost/load efficiency, with a tiny positive net production.
Like maybe the author is asking about the solarpanel-counterpart for a nostr-relay?
Tbh, I'm not sure I understand the question.
And when you do, remember, it's not bout you.
What about relay.haiku.tld ?
A few days ago I had lunch with nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc and he told me about this awesome idea:
> A relay that rejects long notes.
This morning I woke up thinking about it.
And now it's live.
wss://140.f7z.io
140-character limit. With a pretty strict moderation, so spam should be basically non-existent.
It's also sucking short notes from other relays, so it's global should be pretty useful.
Check it out!
PS: No coincides; I saw this nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 note just now 😂

Hey pepe, can you please guide me to on how to write a NIP? My write-filter is gonna make heads explode but i can't do it by myself.
I pulled the classic move, got a haircut and landed myself a job. But now I'm starting to remember why I went Corporate-AWOL.
And why I am building decentralization, without giving a rat about `AUTHORS.md`.
That's what i'm saying.. read-filters = boring, write-filters = fun
Vibe of the day
Whoa, ez cowboy, don't get your lines all curved up, that's not polite.
Trying tell you not to waste your time with models and indicators for this particular diagonal as it's pointless.
U ok?
I love the pricing models, I can't help it. Here are the three models that are still valid and have not been imbalanced.
First the LGC model by Dave the Wave, although the author failed on the late 2018 3000 bottom and there created his model, since then it has not been invalidated predicting bottoms and tops very well.

Second the Power Law Corridor model of HCBurguer, which comes to say the same as the LGC model of dave the wave but better formulated mathematically, this model was created in early 2019 and from my point of view is the most accurate.

Finally the BARM model (Bitcoin Autocorrelated Exchange Rate Model) by @chipernom (The author keeps changing his name on social networks, it is difficult for me to follow him). From a statistical point of view it is the best model, from a price point of view, it is very crazy.

I leave you also the two articles corresponding to the LGC model and Power Law Corridor, unfortunately the author of BARM has deleted all his articles and they are not even in internet archive.

Bro, it's a non replenishable asset with hard scarcity attached to a bonfire of real world supply.
A kid with a crayon can draw that same diagonal 😂
Yeah, the last pointy piece at the top of the btc-pyramid is not there..
I asked around, was told I just had to believe it's there in order to see it.
Another entertaining read

The original question is valid but a bit futuristic in this ownership obsessed world:
"Can we make the NIPs repo more decentralized?"
Short answer: "No - You can not."
Given modern tools we're already running at max decency, all future changes will take nostr one step closer to centralization, so just slow down.
Anywhoo If you read past the comments where twitter screencaps from matrix elevator guy dials up the heat - And if you for some reason still feel unsettled:
Keep Calm
And
The Nips
Git Clone
Git, the tool installed on your machine is an oldschool consensus free decentralized Blockchain.
It is decentralized because it works offline and does not govern who you may or may not remote with.
The pull and push commands however are prepetually stuck in status WIP - why? Cause there's no funding into legitimate research.
So by cloning the nips repo, you become a FULL_NODE, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
That's the beauty of it.
I have some attempts at running git over DHTs/swarms, it's fun but not as easy as it sounds. For now, just clone and wait for the network plugin that you like to emerge.
Everyone archiving the same legacy will merge with you regardless of transport.

Did you hear the Qualcomm effeciency rumors?
I sometimes enjoy preaching to the wrong crowd 🙂

I'm convinced the main reason why nostr fails to grow is the strong association to bitcoin.
#nostr is a separate entity, that has nothing to do with monetary transactions. Atleast that's the way i see it.
I've been around for about 9 months now.
I've talked to normies and their leaders, the demographics seem '90s to '80s.
People are generally friendly, but things always get stiff when you don't echo the gospel.
I wish for better user awareness between purple and orange, you can't have both censorship resistance and a bitcoin-pop-contest.
Truth and capital does not blend well. :'-)
I wish developers had the guts to offer zap-free clients focusing on social values like maybe independent journalism.
The network smells inbred
Help #reboot

Testing out DALL-E, prompt refining is a good step up from midjourney, visual quality not so much.
I was having a discussion about how lightning network works and why there's a receive cap/limit.
Towards the end I proposed a metaphor where a channel is a table with coins between two pirates pushing the pile back and forth. I claimed that no coin ever leaves the table it was initially placed on, at which point GPT agreed and said that SATs do not travel cross channel rather value travels by cumulative balance shifts, Anywhoo I asked it to summarize the conversation as a picture, enjoy:

I feel so burnt today, I wanted to upgrade 1k-notepad to picofeed-v5 which produces a lot smaller blocks. Usually i'm up in flames over this stuff but now I started looking at backporting recoverable publickeys and optional parent signatures, and I feel nothing. Maybe want to puke a littlebit. Some physical exercise and a good night sleep will fix it, but still..
Anyone feeling like this about their own projects?

I think most established clients sport a nip list on their git/repo.
