No Agenda in this case is Adam's podcast and there's a fedi instance that provides community to the fans.
You can find the basis for my points at bitcoinhackers.org which is a recently retired instance where I found some refuge from twitter at a time when bitcoin out of favour with the censors.
If you're serious about keeping your bitcoin or you're keeping a serious amount of bitcoin, you can't settle on a hot wallet.

I use coldcard quite happily but if I was looking to change my first choice now would be seedsigner.
As always, be careful when ordering this stuff, ideally pay sats not PayPal/Bank... and get delivered to work, locker, or private mailbox. Never associate your main residential address with bitcoin and bitcoining.

Coinkite makes hardware not just software, so the cost base is different. The restriction in their license is don't make exact copy and sell it as your own. The code is open source and often scrutinized.

I'm bitcoin only as that's the zero to one step forward taking us into the sixth wave... while everything else crypto is a grand incubation to prepare for central bank digital currencies. Some fascinating innovations in crypto space along the way - broadly useless or dangerous if you have a libertarian outlook, exciting if you like being governed. So in the end it's a worldview question not a technology question, which makes it even more exciting.

It's easy to get distracted by grumpy devs but in the end it's the product that matters. Toxicity isn't always bad and can provide valuable defence against the slow creep back to panopticon. I'm thankful for toxic bitcoin maxis, for grumpy samourai devs, for all the cypherpunks writing code to help us exit the digital prison. I have family and friends for love, I need devs to resist the system not become my pals.
