Do you guys find it appealing for your tx to be included in block #800.000 or some other "significant" block? Plan to OP_RETURN something for the lulz?
I kinda see the appeal to be able to boast for eternity that one of your txs is in that block but then again in a few decades it will be a total jaw dropper how frequently we transacted on the base layer for just a couple hundred sats.
My on-chain footprint is probably larger than that of my next 10 generations of descendants combined! đ
I really appreciate your great work! Since I cut out the bottleneck called Tor I find it so easy to pay with Zeus and manage my node over it. No need turn on the PC for channel management anymore. đ
I still zap on iOS mobile from #Damus version 1.5 (4). When and if that plays out, will download nostr:npub1wxl6njlcgygduct7jkgzrvyvd9fylj4pqvll6p32h59wyetm5fxqjchcan
Wow I didnât know that existed! Thatâs dope, I am going to check that out and see how to link my node to wallet connect.
Thanks a lot for that info!
Using snort on desktop after mainly using Damus on mobile. Man have I missed zapping posts!
Real shame what apple did. What's the best way to zap from apple devices nowadays? Is delegated event signing on iOS browsers a thing yet so that I could use snort in the mobile browser?
Whatever you feel like posting here. The personal notes seem like a good approach.
Only thing I would not try is cross-posting content from Twitter because the valuable conversations in the comments will be split between the platforms.
Whatâs your opinion on AG1? Useless cocktail or actually valuable for the average guy living a normie diet? I just know itâs hella expensive for a daily supplement.
There is some sybil protection in JoinMarket through the fidelity bond system.
SchĂśn warâs!
Progressive web app. Basically a website that can store some data on your phone semi-permanently and be added to the home screen. It functions a lot like a regular app from the app store, however it does not have to abide by the rules of an app store because itâs just a website opened on your phoneâs browser.
We're thrilled to announce that Mutiny Wallet beta is now available to everyone. Getting started with Lightning has never been easier.
https://blog.mutinywallet.com/mutiny-wallet-open-beta/
What is Mutiny? It's the first self-custodial lightning wallet that runs on the web, putting the control of your funds in your hands.
Mutiny is about breaking barriers. We're solving the onboarding problem for Bitcoin, regardless of who you are, where you live, or what device you're using. There's no need to provide identity to a regulated institution, making Bitcoin accessible to 5 billion global browser users
But our mission doesn't stop there. We aim to make the experience as user-friendly as possible and provide unique features not seen before. Our position allows us to experiment with new concepts and we can't wait to share some of these with you.
At the heart of our application are the building blocks built off Block's Lightning Development Kit (LDK) project. A new Lightning library that's fine-tuned for customization, LDK even allows us to compile it for the web - a task that was impossible until now.
We understand that managing liquidity is a challenge. That's why we've partnered with Voltage to be the main Liquidity Service Provider. With Flow 2.0, which we helped develop, new Mutiny users to receive their first Lightning payment within seconds of opening the app.
We've decided to separate the balance between your funds in Lightning channels and funds for on-chain spending. While it introduces a little more complexity, our trade-off ensures users are always in control.
Just like many Bitcoin wallets, your seed words secure all your funds on Mutiny. We've taken it a step further by adding encrypted & remote storage for restoring your latest Lightning-related data.
We've also integrated Nostr Wallet Connect, a social tipping feature. It allows you to request payments from your wallet, tip users, and more. Future iterations will enable automatic payments under a certain amount specified by you.
We're also introducing Mutiny+, our first subscription feature built on top of NWC. You'll get a payment request from Mutiny to renew your subscription each month. The control is in your hands, money will only leave your wallet once you accept the payment request.
While we're launching the beta for everyone, we're aware of a few bugs. We're working hard to iron them out, but please bear with us. For now, treat Mutiny as a "spending" wallet, like cash in your pocket.
Our goal is to make the wallet experience normie ready over time and make it a reliable tool for all. We encourage you to test the wallet, let us know your thoughts. We're dedicated to fixing bugs quickly and shipping new features.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you test out the wallet, please let us know what you think. Stay tuned as we continue to push the envelope in making Bitcoin more accessible to everyone.
PWA first is probably the best approach to take in the Bitcoin space. You never know when the app stores want to shut you downâŚ
You can just get the normal stable version from the AppStore. Donât need the TestFlight version necessarily unless you want to test the latest features.
TestFlight incorporates feedback system, thatâs why your email might be shared. But I hope only when you actually submit a bug report while testing.
Wow, what a spike! Any clues as to why? I donât suppose thatâs caused by more people running their Lightning âĄď¸ node behind Tor đ
You would have to convince them to open a channel to you though.
As you need inbound liquidity to ZBD. Or open to them and then rebalance the channel hoping it doesnât cost a years worth of zaps kn routing fees đ
Thank you very much for your explanation! I always appreciated JoinMarket for being decentralized but was not sure if it held up to products like Wabisabi when it comes to security against Chainalysis.
But if both mixers leave about the same traces on the blockchain for observers, I am fine with that! đ
Can someone ELI5 the privacy guarantees behind JoinMarket for me? I would be interested in knowing how anonymous my coins are in comparison to Wabisabi or Samourai Whirlpool
What about using Whirlpool through Sparrow wallet? There Tor is easily enabled. Are they also receiving my xpub?
