Great panel, Nostr has come so far in the past couple of years, and yet still has so far to go!
The Nostr panel at Bitcoin 2024 is great. So many potential applications!
Unless of course, some Chinese companies happen to "borrow" the research and/or trained weights of the leading models

Boeing Starliner docking was a close call. Could have seriously damaged the station.
This block is weird: https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000001c62110bb97a52bf3015ea3abd9b318c300e5c0fba791
It contains 7,812 transactions (giving a rate of 13 transactions per second, wow!) and almost every transaction in it has an op_return in it that merely says 14 01 14 00
That doesn't decode to anything I'm aware of
Thoughts?
Legendary sats probably
This is a divisibility problem, right? Each blinded token is a set number of sats and cannot be split without the mint's involvement
The media says the economy is good because:
- GDP is up
- Stocks are up
- Jobs are up
- Inflation is "only" 3.5%
All these numbers can be gamed. In particular, I wonder how much the GDP's rise is due to military spending that doesn't "trickle down" to the rest of the economy.

He's completely right. Libre software is not and should not be run by a democratic development process.

The current state of Nostr key management is not good at all. We need PGP-style subkeys. Ideally, the root key would be kept offline and only be used to add or revoke device keys. Support for multiple signature schemes would also facilitate future enhancements, such as a group signature scheme to deter key-level device usage analysis, and quantum-resistant schemes.

Nostr Opportunities panel at Bitcoin Asia is awesome. Returning privacy and control over social media to individuals is something everyone should get behind.
Stamped some FRN "business cards" for nostr:npub1j8y6tcdfw3q3f3h794s6un0gyc5742s0k5h5s2yqj0r70cpklqeqjavrvg at Bitcoin Asia just now. Pretty fun so far!
Maybe stock exchanges could take a gradual approach to round-the-clock trading. Widen the daily trading window by 2 hours, and see if it runs smoothly for a year. Try to get major exchanges around the globe to reach higher overlap. Repeat this process until we've covered the whole clock.
